Recovery from addiction begins with abstinence from chemicals, but it doesn't stop there. Recovery includes learning new life skills, and new ways to deal with emotions. The involvement of families and loved ones is an important aspect of recovery. Since 1972, the chemical dependency programs at Riverside have helped thousands of people learn how to live better, more meaningful lives and remain chemical-free.
Riverside, the hospital-based chemical dependency treatment program of the Robert Young Center, offers inpatient and outpatient services for adults and adolescents with substance abuse problems. Services include 24-hour emergency treatment and crisis intervention, medical detoxification, DUI assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and aftercare programs. Patients receive individual counseling and participate in group sessions.
Other services include recreational programs, relaxation techniques, positive living instructions to self-help groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Riverside offers a special Relapse Prevention
Program, the only one of its kind in the Quad Cities Area. This program is designed for people who have successfully completed treatment, and have returned to the use of alcohol and or drugs. Riverside is located on the West Campus of Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL. Individuals may be self-referred by a concerned family member, employer, physician, or the court. More...
