What can you expect?

If the patient meets the preliminary qualifications and is willing to proceed an appointment will be made with one of three surgeons who perform bariatric surgery at Trinity. Staff at the Trinity Bariatric Institute will help obtain insurance information and other supporting documentation required by their insurance company.

Once bariatric surgery has been approved, institute staff will coordinate pre-surgical testing for the patient at one convenient time. Pre-surgical testing will include an upper GI, gallbladder sonogram (if the patient's gallbladder is still intact), lab work, electrocardiogram/EKG.During this time the patient will also meet with a respiratory therapist and exercise specialist.  More...
