About Trinity Heart Center
Trinity Regional Health System offers the Illinois and Iowa Quad-Cities state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, including life-saving open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology procedures. Under the guidance of a team of skilled heart surgeons and cardiologists, Trinity's program combines experienced staff with state-of-the-art technology.
Trinity's cardiovascular program includes:

Comprehensive Cardiac Surgical Care: Trinity offers life-saving open-heart surgeries, including both bypass surgery and valve repair and replacement.

Innovative Technology: This includes the radiofrequency ablation MAZE procedure to cure atrial fibrillation, transmyocardial laser revascularization and minimally invasive off-pump coronary bypass (without cardiopulmonary bypass).

Thoracic Aortic Surgery Program: Patients with thoracic aneurysms no longer have to travel to institutions outside of the Quad-Cities for their surgery.

Interventional Cardiology: Utilizing the latest advancement in technology, Trinity's experienced interventional cardiologists perform balloon angioplasty, stent placement and other treatment to open obstructed cardiac arteries in the Catheterization Lab, thereby, reducing the need for more invasive bypass surgery.

Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization: Trinity has three state-of-the-art Cath Labs with digital technology on the West Campus in Rock Island, Ill.

Electrophysiology Services: Heart rhythm management services, including pacemaker installations.

Non-Invasive Diagnostic Testing: Trinity offers a full array of non-invasive diagnostic testing including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echos, EKG's, Holter monitor tests, stress tests and vascular lab tests.

Emergency Care: Trinity is a designated Trauma Center in Region II.

Cardiac Rehabilitation: Trinity offers Phase I, II and III cardiac rehabilitation by staff who have received the latest training in cardiac care.

Cardiac Inpatient Care Services: Trinity provides an inpatient Cardiovascular Unit for cardiac patients needing intensive care as well as a telemetry monitored Cardiac Step-Down Unit for those in need of intermediate care.

Home Health Care: Trinity has a dedicated Home Health Care program through Trinity Visiting Nurse and Homecare Association whose nursing staff can assist in the treatment regimen for those with chronic cardiac conditions.

Congestive Heart Failure Clinic: At this clinic, located on the first floor of the West Campus, patients who are referred by their physician can learn a variety of ways to help manage their heart failure and live happy and productive lives.
