Infection Rates
To ensure the best outcome for our patients, we monitor infection rates diligently and identify best practices to improve outcomes for our patients. Our goal is always zero infections. Infection rates are calculated by dividing the number of infections with the number of device (ventilator or central line) days and multiplying the result by 1,000 for central line and ventilator-associated pneumonia. Infection rates for surgical site infection are calculated by dividing the number of infections with the number of cases and multiplying the result by 100. Results are for inpatients only.
