HCAHPS Press Ganey
HCAHPS stands for Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems. In the summer of 2002, an instrument was created to measure patient perceptions of care and their accompany levels of patient satisfaction. This measurement would be used to publicly report hospital performance (quality of care as perceived by patients).
Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care organizations to create and sustain high performing organizations, and ultimately, improve the overall health care experience. Working with clients across all care levels including medical practices, home health agencies and other providers, Press Ganey interacts with 50 percent of all U.S. hospitals.
