Trinity board chair recognized as one of Illinois’ Most Powerful and Influential Women
Linda Newborn, chair of Trinity Regional Health System’s Board of Trustees, has been honored as one of “Illinois’ Most Powerful and Influential Women” by the Illinois Conference for Women. Newborn was one of 26 women from across the state recognized at the statewide conference focusing on professional development, community, networking, entrepreneurship and women’s health.
Criteria to be considered for the award included providing leadership excellence in the public and/or private sectors, sustaining a record of accomplishments and/or contributions to field of work throughout scope of her career, having clout within her organization in terms of significant impact on revenues, profitability, and/or direction of the organization, demonstrating leadership and commitment to community well-being and/or high visibility in the community, and exhibiting and demonstrating a commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional excellence.
Newborn is Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Deere & Company. As the TRHS chair, she also serves on the boards for all of its affiliate entities. In addition to Trinity, she is on the Board of Trustees for Augustana College and Two Rivers YMCA. She also was previously on the board of Arrowhead Ranch.
